Rudolf Bijlenga (LGB 1966-1969)

1. When did you work at the International School of Geneva and what was/were your role(s)?
I worked at La Grande Boissière from 1966 to 1969, teaching physics and mathematics.

2. Describe your life today, where you live and what you do.
I am a retired professor from the HES-SO (University of Applied Sciences, Western Switzerland), living in Geneva-Vessy and in the Haute Savoie, France. I am a member of several local societies: société médicale, société de lecture, cercle romand Richard Wagner, amis de l’opéra, amis de l’OSR. I enjoy various sports: skiing, cycling, swimming, sailing and mountain hiking. Cultural interests include life sciences, physics, chemistry, music, paintings and philosophy.

3. What are your strongest memories of working at Ecolint?
Internationalism, open mindedness and “Le Parc”. My teacher and later colleague Armand Mastrangelo. Also Chef Schaller and Mlle Hartoch.

4. To what extent do you like to keep in touch with former students and colleagues?
I was also a student at Ecolint from 1956 to 1964 at la Grande Boissière “au Château”. I am always pleased to receive news from these years.
