Stef Pasternak (La Chât '94)

Posted By Alumni Office, lundi 15 mai 2017
Updated: lundi 15 mai 2017

Stef PasternakStef Pasternak

Stef is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter based in Nyon, Switzerland. During the late 90’s and early 2000’s, Stef played drums and sang for bands such as Turning Green and Swab, toured, and released albums.

In 2002, he attempted his first foray into forming a band by fronting the four-piece outfit Some Sort of Echo comprised of alumni from LGB and La Chât (Nick Kaufmann (La Chât '94), Dan Shaw (LGB '96), and Michael Anthony (LGB '91)). This project, although short-lived, fostered a love of performing his original music; singing and playing the guitar live.

In 2010, Stef returned to playing drums for successful bands such as Meïan, Oversight and Flower Power. In 2014, he formed a second band called Pasternak. After Pasternak split in 2016, and separating ties with Meïan, Stef launched into an exciting new project called The Flocking Murmuration with close friend and long-time collaborator, Dan Shaw. He currently enjoys performing solo acoustic live sets, touring, and recording with ‘The FM.'

Daniel Shaw (LGB '96)

Posted By Alumni Office, mercredi 1 février 2017

Michael HeartDaniel Shaw

Dan is a singer-songwriter who currently performs both solo and with indie folk-rock band The Flocking Murmuration, which includes two other Ecolint alumni (Stef Pasternak (La Chât '94) and Matt Welling (La Chât '01), both also teachers at Ecolint). They have just released their first EP.

Dan was previously with the world-pop-folk band Tiger the Lion, who released three albums, including the ‘micro-hit’, Pins and Needles and Roger (Betterer), a tongue-in-cheek homage to the Swiss tennis icon.

His New Year’s Resolution for 2017 is to write one song every day for the whole year, sharing them daily online. He thinks he will probably regret this decision...
