Bay Area Escalade for all ages
mercredi 21 décembre 2016
The Auslander family kindly hosted the San Francisco / Bay Area Escalade Dinner once again this year in their Menlo Park home. The multi-generational gathering included thirteen alumni.
Lynn Auslander, whose daughters Claire and Nathalie attended LGB until the family left Switzerland in 2011, reports that the event was lots of fun. There were two other very young alumni in attendance, Diego and Natalia Kirsch, along with their alumnus father Miguel (LGB '87).
The day was unfortunately marked by a bad rain storm, which kept a few other alumni away, but it didn't dampen the spirits of those who were present. The children did the breaking of the marmite and told the story of the Escalade holiday. There was fondue, soupe de l'Escalade and even a (toy) téléphérique du Salève!
The alumni who attended were: Miguel Kirsch (LGB '87), Diego Kirsch (LGB '26), Natalia Kirsch (LGB '24), Marton Sziraczki (LGB '98), Jim Handy (LGB '70), Mont Stong (LGB '78), David Haines (LGB '60), Claire Auslander (LGB '22), Susan Schofield (LGB '62), Nathalie Auslander (LGB '23), Gwen Luce (LGB '59), Katrina Galway (LGB '74) and Mark Langberg (LGB '69).
