A new face at the Alumni Office
mercredi 1 février 2017
Thaïs Ruegg joined the International School of Geneva in January as Alumni Community Manager, taking over from Eoghan O’Sullivan, who has been running the Alumni Office since April 2014. The two will work side-by-side until the end of March, when Eoghan will finish up definitively.
Thaïs comes to Ecolint from a background in Cultural Anthropology, with several years of experience in communications for various NGOs. She has also worked as a youth leader in Geneva, leading discussion groups and community-building events with international students (including many from Ecolint).
She grew up in Geneva and is fully bilingual. Although she did not attend Ecolint, she is well acquainted with the school, counting many alumni among her friends. She also has a family connection through her mother, Melinda Ruegg, who taught at Ecolint for more than 25 years until her retirement in 2015.
Thaïs has been busy learning the ropes and meeting lots of new people, and looks forward to engaging with the alumni community over the months and years ahead. When she’s not at work, you might find her breaking a sweat in a kickboxing class or roaming about in the beautiful Alps. Feel free to drop her a line at email@example.com.
Having greatly enjoyed his time working at Ecolint, Eoghan feels ready to take on a new professional challenge. He will remain in the Geneva region where he hopes to keep himself busy as a freelance communications consultant.
