42. Anna Dumonthay-Smith (LGB 1990)

Posted By Alumni Office, mercredi, 15 octobre 2014
Anna Dumonthay-Smith1. How long did you spend at Ecolint?
I started in grade 1 and went right through to the IB.

2. How did you come to attend Ecolint in the first place?
Both my parents were teachers at Ecolint for nearly 40 years so I followed!

3. Which teacher had the biggest impact on you and how?
Mr Gras was one of my favourites. He seemed to come from another century and was passionate about the English language.

4. What was your favourite spot on campus and why?
The football field - a nice place to relax and chat at break and lunch.

5. What was your favourite place in the wider region, and why?
I love the countryside around Geneva; I was/am an avid walker and horse rider and love being outdoors.

6. Describe your life today, where you live and what you do.
I am still at Ecolint! I have been working in the Campus Services office (which looks after school transport, hot lunches, security, cleaning and maintenance) for over 12 years now. I live in the countryside and enjoy lots of outdoor activities.

7. What should be Ecolint's top priority as it approaches its 100th anniversary?
To make sure the quality of the teaching is always top notch in a safe environment.

8. What "words of wisdom" would you pass on to today's Ecolint students?
Enjoy every minute but make the most of it too: listen, ask questions and be curious.

9. What has been the biggest impact of your Ecolint education on your life?
I still find it amazing that so many different people from different backgrounds can get along and live side by side with so few issues.
