62. David S. Pearson (La Chât 1960)

Posted By Alumni Office, mercredi, 5 novembre 2014
David Pearson1. How long did you spend at Ecolint?
I actually was at La Chât before it became part of Ecolint. Started 1953 - graduated 1960.

2. How did you come to attend Ecolint in the first place?
My family moved to Greece and then Iran - I had to attend school in Switzerland.

3. Which teacher had the biggest impact on you and how?
I can't really say.

4. What was your favourite spot on campus and why?
At that time La Chât had little in the way of “spots” one could go to for any reason. When I started at La Chât there were only 57 students (I was number 55) and when I graduated there were only 112.

5. What was your favourite place in the wider region, and why?
My favorite place would have to be Geneva although I did enjoy trips to Villars. (I had a girlfriend who went to school there. And...of course, the skiing.)

6. Describe your life today, where you live and what you do.
I live in Albuquerque, NM - and I am retired. I play a little golf.

7. What should be Ecolint's top priority as it approaches its 100th anniversary?
Continue to be the best school possible.

8. What "words of wisdom" would you pass on to today's Ecolint students?
Take advantage of the wonderful opportunities from attending such an excellent school.

9. What has been the biggest impact of your Ecolint education on your life?
Initially, learning to speak French. I majored in French in college. Then, a lifetime of travel.
