1. What is your company’s product/service?
Venture Capital funds.

2. Where was it founded and where do you now have offices?
Founded in Geneva.  Offices in London, San Francisco and Jersey.

3. Number of employees at peak (and now)?
62 (peak and now).

4. What was the hardest thing about building the company?
Staying focused on the strategy.  It was very difficult to say no to potential revenue streams that were not core to the strategy.

5. Where do you see your company in three years?
More and more recognition as one of the top five venture capital funds in the world.

6. Do any other Ecolint alumni work with you?
Yes, several.  My brothers Neil (LGB '82) and Danny (LGB '89), along with Daniel (LGB '88) and Ben (LGB '91) O’Hanlon and Rini Banerjee (LGB '06).

7. In what ways (if any!) did your Ecolint education help you in founding a company?
In the late 90s, when we founded the company, there were no European role models to emulate. We had to re-invent a very local industry based in the Silicon Valley and apply it to the heterogeneous and often byzantine environment of Europe. We needed all the cultural acumen possible as we were collaborating with multiple nationalities in a politically and economically loaded interaction. Ecolint was probably the greatest training ground for such a challenge. As opposed to our competitors, we did not need a national base or identity but chose to be pan-european from the start.
