 Mary Roosevelt   Mary Roosevelt

1. When did you work at the International School of Geneva and what was/were your role(s)?
I worked at La Gradelle form 1963- 1968. I taught first and second grade. (A detailed account of Mary Roosevelt's time at Ecolint is due to appear in the Summer 2015 edition of echo magazine.)

2. Describe your life today, where you live and what you do.
I live in Southern California. I am helping to raise my four grandchildren. I am happily retired form the University of California, Irvine, where I was the Coordinator of the Multiple Subject Teacher Credential Program. I am still involved with many schools and universities around the world. I travel to Europe every year, and enjoy visiting with former Ecolint colleagues

3. What are your strongest memories of working at Ecolint?
The wonderful students, their families, and the camaraderie amongst the faculty. Of course I welcomed the opportunity to explore Switzerland and the surrounding countries. I appreciated the opportunity to be part of a team that created the original International Primary School Curriculum.

4. To what extent do you like to keep in touch with former students and colleagues?
Former students often find me on the internet. I have maintained strong friendships with many of my colleagues and loved seeing some of them at the 90th reunion. I am on the board of the Ecolint-American Foundation.
