In a busy week of travel Ecolint's Director General Vicky Tuck had the pleasure of meeting more than 100 alumni on a tour that took in London (photos here), Paris and Amsterdam. The tour, and the various events it encompassed, were part of the continued celebration of the Foundation's 90th anniversary.

A drinks reception at the Ayyam Gallery in London on Tuesday night brought around 80 alumni together, while dinners in Paris and Amsterdam each gathered ten to twelve former students and staff. There is a report on the London event, along with some photos, here.

Wednesday night's dinner took place at the historic Drouant restaurant in Paris, home of the Prix Goncourt, while in Amsterdam on Thursday night the venue was the Apotheek room at the Pulitzer Hotel.

Next April Mrs. Tuck will undertake a similar tour on the East Coast of the USA, visiting New York, Boston and Washington. Details of these events are still being finalised, but registration is already possible. See Upcoming Events.

The diners in Paris, from left to right: Vicky Tuck (Ecolint Director General), Fiona Coe (La Chât '87), Richard Hallmark (guest, with Susan Fries-Lafaille), Jean-Marc Thomas (La Chât '77), Isabelle Thomas (guest), Alfredo Valladao (LGB '64),  Alison Clayson (LGB '60), Susan Kostelecky Schulz (La Chât '77), Dominique Turrettini (LGB '78), François Poirel (LGB '61), Ulrika Peppler Barry (LGB '71), Karin Hervieu-Causse (LGB '78), Susan Fries-Laffaille (LGB '70).

Also present, but only for the apéritif, was Marie-Noëlle Lombard Des Gouttes  (LGB '57). We are particularly grateful to Karin Hervieu-Causse for her assistance in organising this first official alumni event in Paris for many years - and hopefully the first of many more!

The dinner in Amsterdam had an even wider spread of ages, from Class of 1953 right up to Class of 2009, including three members of the Pahlplatz family, Marleen, Christian and Sander. As in Paris, there seems to be plenty of enthusiasm for holding further events in the Netherlands in future. Watch this space!

In Amsterdam, starting from the far left corner of the table, Wilhelmina Boersma Klein (LGB '53), Nick Thornton (chair of the Ecolint Governing Board), Susan Cave (Former teacher at LGB), Masja van Loon (LGB '90), Marleen Capelle (LGB '95), Jean-Pierre Horwitz (LGB '78). Director General Vicky Tuck is just out of shot on the right.

Also in Amsterdam, from far left corner of the table, Sander Pahlplatz (LGB '99), Julien Collin (La Chât '09), Christian Pahlplatz (LGB '96), Thomas Kuchan (LGB '83).

...and finally, on the far right of the above photo, David Baragwanath (guest, husband of Susan Cave), and beside him, Jacie Kuchan (guest).
