News has reached the Alumni Office, from Stanislav Smith (LGB '64), of the death of his sister Tanya Tweeton (LGB '60). She died on 22 July 2016 at the age of 73.

Stan writes:

"Sadly Tanya had a severe stroke in April. She spent her senior year and graduated Ecolint LGB in 1960. Dated Rob White. Both voted best looking :-)

We will take her ashes to Prague where my dad's parents and sister are buried. She felt close to our heritage there and she kept in touch with our many relatives there.

Bright, fun, alive, pretty feisty, opinionated, but I could always poke a hole in her seriousness when it arose. I and my sister Tasha miss her dearly."

Tanya's children, Monica and Christopher, submitted the obituary below to the local press in Miami.

Last December Tanya Tweeton attended the first Ecolint Escalade Dinner to be held in South Florida, where she was delighted to find that there were many other alumni living in the area. She is pictured  below at the event, on the far left hand side of the middle row.

I remember the beautiful Tanya Smith well. She had freckles and a wide smile. She was an elegant senior in 1960.
