Dr. Taylor, Director of Education at Ecolint, met with alumnae in the Washington DC area on April 18th, for an informal discussion on Ecolint and international education today.

The event was hosted at Allison Baca's home in McLean, VA. The enthusiastic conversation happily continued well past its anticipated time of ending.

"It was a truly Ecolint event," reports Pennie Aldrich, who helped organise the event with Norma Dudde Williamson and Allison Baca. "Dr. Taylor shared with us the school’s vision for the education of Ecolint students and gave us examples of how the vision was currently taking place. We had a lively discussion about the Ecolint experience and global education in general."

In attendance were: Dr. Karen Taylor and her friend Aprille Sherman, Enid Mukindi (LGB '91), Kaia Boe (La Chât '02), Cynthia Richmond (LGB '73), Patricia Moran Steelman (LGB '63), Allison Anderson Baca (LGB '76), Pennie Aldrich (LGB '65), Susana Esparza (LGB '97), Norma Dudde Williamson (LGB '66).

Many thanks to Allison Baca for kindly opening her home for the event!

Dear Douglas, I am sorry to hear of your disappointment. It turns out we invited all Ecolint alumni - regardless of age - in DC, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Delaware. Your name is on the mailing list; could it be that the message went to your spam folder? I hope you will be able to attend the next event in your area. Best regards from Geneva, Thais Ruegg, Alumni Community Manager

I live in Columbia, Maryland, which is a short drive from where this meeting took place. I am disappointed the invitation did not go out to fellow alumni in this area. Another [participate lives in Ft. Washington, Md. and also was not included in the invite. I sincerely hope whoever sponsors another Ecolint event in the Washington, D.C. area consider everyone within driving distance./ If you notice those in attendance were at school much later than my time at Ecolint ('52-'54). We shouldn't forget classmates of an earlier period.
