On January 27, Ecolint inaugurated its new recital room at the La Châtaigneraie campus.

Since its creation in 2005, the music department at La Châtaigneraie has continued to grow and attract a large number of students wanting to follow a high level of musical training. The need for a recital room with improved acoustics and a dedicated storage space for instruments had become essential for the program to keep delivering at the highest level. The room provides students with a professional type of environment, with opportunities for both performance and recording.

With the support of donors and the School's leadership, the recital room was completed over the summer of 2019, and the first concert was held to celebrate Ecolint, its innovative programmes and approach to music, and the spirit of philanthropy that made the project possible.

Speeches were given by Jennifer Armstrong (Primary School Principal), Antonello Barbaro (Director of Development and Alumni Relations), and John Aram (Head of the Music Department)

The secondary school students played both classical pieces and contemporary rock pieces, under the direction of John Aram, who heads up the music department at La Châtaigneraie. Parents, teachers and members of staff, PTA members, board members, donors and supporters - all gathered for the inauguration concert, displaying the diversity, the philanthropic spirit, and close-knittedness of the Ecolint community.
