Do you miss how Ecolint teachers used to ask those questions that seemed unconventional on the surface, but provoked deep reflection and lively debate?

Two Ecolint philosophy teachers, Conrad Hughes and Mira Shibaru, have created an online course for Year 11 students at La Grande Boissière that is open to alumni who are interested in engaging in philosophical questions

Short (5-8 minute) lectures will cover a big question that has intrigued humanity for centuries and review how a given philosopher has attempted to answer that question. These videos will be released every Thursday evening on YouTube starting on 3 September. The talks will highlight the major philosophers chronologically including Chinese, Indian, African and First Peoples philosophies.

At the end of every month, Conrad and Mira will organise open forums via Google Meet to gather various perspectives and facilitate discussion on the critical questions investigated through the talks of the previous weeks. The monthly debates will take place on the following dates, from 17h00 to 18h00 CET: 30 September, 28 October, and 16 December 2020, 20 January, 17 February, 17 March, 14 April and 12 May 2021.

This is a unique opportunity to engage with current Ecolint students, tomorrow’s changemakers, on the fundamental aspects of the human experience. Join them!
